Responsibilities
End-to-End Solution Design: Architect and own key application designs across custom software builds (.NET / Java) and COTS integrations.
Architectural Governance & Roadmaps: Develop comprehensive blueprints, tech roadmaps, and best-practice frameworks while ensuring solutions adhere to enterprise standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product owners, engineering teams, and Scrum masters within Agile frameworks to deliver scalable, high-performing systems.
Security & Performance Optimization: Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and evaluate application security controls, including general domain awareness in identity, threat management, and data protection.
Stakeholder Engagement: Translate complex technical visions into actionable insights for senior business leaders and executive decision-makers.
Code & Integration Oversight: Conduct architectural reviews and code assessments, define subsystem interfaces, and build reusable digital assets for future projects.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of strategic IT experience, with at least 5 years operating as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect.
Technical Depth: Deep proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS and Microsoft Azure environments) alongside hands-on background in Java/JEE or .NET development.
Integration Expertise: Strong background in API design, SOAP/REST web services, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.
Frameworks & Methodologies: Proven experience delivering solutions within Agile/Scrum environments; solid understanding of enterprise frameworks (TOGAF preferred) and data/process modeling.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Languages: English fluency (spoken and written) required; French language skills are a strong asset.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
