Our client is looking for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a 5-month contract with a possible one-time extension based in Toronto. This hybrid role requires 2–3 days per week onsite with the flexibility of remote work for the rest of the week.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to understand user stories and translate them into clear, testable requirements
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts — functional, non-functional, UAT, regression, integration, performance, and load testing
• Plan, organize, and lead testing efforts for GUI and non-GUI environments, ensuring quality across SDLC phases
• Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and document results in Azure DevOps
• Guide and mentor junior testers, fostering a collaborative QA culture
• Test and validate Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications like Curam, Siebel, Oracle eBS, SAP
• Conduct defect analysis, provide risk-based recommendations, and support user acceptance testing
• Monitor test performance and system vulnerabilities, ensuring AODA compliance and robust accessibility standards
• Create test summary reports and metrics aligned with project timelines
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in QA/testing roles with hands-on execution of all testing phases
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, ITIL, and QA best practices
• Proven experience with Azure DevOps for test planning, execution, and defect management
• Experience testing COTS applications (Curam, Siebel, Oracle eBS, SAP) and front-end web technologies
• Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and compliance testing
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience in creating automated test scripts is a plus
• Exposure to child welfare or case management applications is an asset
• Proficiency with SQL and scripting tools for data validation and test automation
