Responsibilities
- Testing Strategy & Planning: Provide expert advice on testing tools, resource identification, and overall strategy. Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and scripts.
- Specialized Testing: Execute high-intensity testing phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), stress tests, and performance/load testing.
- Domain-Specific Validation: Test specialized telephony and radio technologies, including IP-based telephony (Avaya), P25 radio standards, and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) applications.
- Automation & Version Control: Leverage automated testing tools (such as Eggplant or Selenium) and manage defects using JIRA, Confluence, or TestRail.
- Integration & Environment Management: Configure system environments and test applications involving high availability and real-time data integration.
- AODA Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and WCAG standards.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in developing test strategies and troubleshooting complex technical issues across all phases of the SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with telephony and radio technologies (Avaya, P25, CAD).
- Proficiency in testing High Availability applications and Real-Time Data.
- Experience with desktop, mobile, and COTS application testing.
- Expert knowledge of defect management and version control (JIRA, Confluence, TestRail).
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Eggplant preferred).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and meet strict deadlines.
