Responsibilities
Framework & Code Engineering: Analyze, design, build, and maintain enterprise automation testing frameworks. Write complex, reusable automation scripts from scratch for web-based UI screens and RESTful endpoints.
API & Web Services Testing: Lead the design, development, and execution of automated API/web services testing in a fully automated fashion using industry-standard toolsets.
Test Lifecycle Management: Define test plans, compile complex test data, construct traceability matrices, and build comprehensive test execution reports aligned with project requirements.
Security & Access Validation: Execute specialized testing covering system access protocols, authentication, authorization, digital certificates, and secure SAML/JWT tokens.
Data & Backend Verification: Perform data validation activities utilizing SQL queries, ETL processes, and backend registry verifications.
Defect Architecture: Independently log, track, isolate, and manage system defects within JIRA, actively participating in triage and resolution cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with QA Leads, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and business teams to provide effort estimations, validate environment stability, and champion automation best practices.
Agile & UAT Support: Operate effectively within fast-paced Agile-Scrum sprints, supporting DevOps pipelines and assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination.
Qualifications
Automation Seniority: 7+ years of progressive experience in software test automation engineering.
Java & Selenium Mastery: Expert-level, hands-on experience building UI automation suites from scratch using Java and Selenium, with strong debugging and code-analysis capabilities.
Automated API Testing: Advanced experience with automated API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI.
Environment & Tools: Proficient with BrowserStack for cross-browser testing, Git/GitHub for version control, and JIRA for defect lifecycle management.
Security Protocol Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of testing secure systems utilizing authentication tokens (SAML, JWT) and security certificates.
Database Skills: Solid hands-on experience executing SQL queries and analyzing data structures/ETL pipelines.
Nice to Have: Prior experience in the Healthcare technology domain, particularly validating HL7 FHIR messaging standards.
