As a senior QA specialist, you will bridge the gap between software development teams, business analysts, and project leadership throughout the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead functional, regression, and API testing efforts, generate complex test data using modern tooling, execute database validations, and govern the defect lifecycle. This position demands a detail-oriented QA authority who can establish test strategies, enforce digital accessibility standards, and integrate automated test scripts into continuous delivery pipelines.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using enterprise testing tools (such as Selenium, UFT, TestComplete, or Postman) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
Generate and manage diverse test data using automated utilities (SOAP UI, Swagger, Postman) to support functional and regression iterations.
Perform backend database verification and data integrity checks using SQL queries within Oracle database environments.
Identify, document, track, and triage software defects based on priority and severity using tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, or ALM.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers during Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) to resolve defects.
Facilitate and lead peer reviews for test artifacts, establishing clear entry and exit criteria for system testing phases.
Ensure application testing complies with accessibility regulations and standards, including AODA and WCAG guidelines.
Maintain detailed technical documentation, test execution metrics, coverage reports, and user release notes.

Core Technical & QA Requirements
Automated Scripting & Testing Expertise: Demonstrated system testing expertise through the development of automated test scripts, creation and execution of complex test plans, and end-to-end defect management.
Test Data Generation & API Tools: Direct experience generating complex test data using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or SOAP UI to support functional and regression testing.
Defect Lifecycle Management: Proven experience creating, prioritizing, severitizing, and tracking software defects through resolution using tools like Azure DevOps, ALM, or JIRA.
Database Verification (SQL / Oracle): Experience performing backend data verification and migration/transformation testing using SQL queries in Oracle environments.
Full-Lifecycle Testing: Comprehensive knowledge of all SDLC phases, test strategy formulation, peer reviews, and non-functional testing (performance, load, stress testing).
Preferred Assets
