As a senior QA specialist, you will bridge the gap between software development teams, IT leads, and business stakeholders across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead functional, non-functional, systems integration, regression, and user acceptance testing across both GUI and non-GUI applications. This position demands a seasoned testing authority with deep experience in Azure DevOps, Micro Focus ALM, cloud technologies, API testing, and digital accessibility audit tools (AXE, WAVE) to ensure the highest standards of system reliability, performance, and compliance.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic advice on overall testing strategy, test plans, testing tool selection, and resource allocation for enterprise systems.
Plan, organize, and lead testing efforts for complex applications across Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-GUI environments.
Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data for various testing phases.
Execute functional, non-functional, system integration, regression, performance, load, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Perform specialized digital accessibility testing, compliance audits, and remediation using tools like AXE and WAVE to ensure AODA compliance.
Identify, document, isolate, track, and manage software defects through to resolution using enterprise test management platforms.
Validate APIs and web services using tools like ReadyAPI, testing backend structures across SQL, DB2, IMS, and Oracle databases.
Collaborate closely with developers, IT leads, and project leads throughout the SDLC to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
Participate actively in Agile/DevOps delivery mechanisms, sprint planning, and release validation activities.
Maintain detailed test documentation, test coverage tracking, test execution metrics, and status reports for project leadership.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Testing Expertise
Quality Assurance Tenure: Minimum 10+ years of progressive hands-on experience planning, organizing, and implementing enterprise testing efforts.
Test Management Tooling: Extensive experience with enterprise test management tools such as Azure DevOps and Micro Focus ALM 12.5.
Accessibility Audit & Remediation: Extensive experience conducting digital accessibility compliance audits and remediation using tools like AXE and WAVE (AODA compliance).
Methodologies & Cloud: Demonstrated working knowledge of the complete SDLC, including Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps methodologies within cloud environments (Microsoft Azure).
Test Artifact Leadership: Proven experience creating, reviewing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and problem-resolution workflows.
Preferred Technical Skills
API & Integration Testing: Experience with ReadyAPI, Web Services, APIs, and Java/.NET technologies.
Database & Platform Exposure: Working knowledge of relational and hierarchical databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2, IMS), UNIX, and legacy mainframe systems (TSO/SPF).
Automated & COTS Testing: Experience with automated testing tools, scripting, and testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
