As a senior UX designer, you will lead complex digital service initiatives from initial concept through to production. Operating fully onsite in Toronto within an Agile product development environment, you will execute end-to-end user research, establish high-bar user experience standards, synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights, and deliver production-ready design artifacts. This position demands a creative design authority who can utilize Figma and XDstudio, collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams, and clearly present evidence-based design rationale to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Design effective, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces for web and mobile applications across various digital touchpoints.
Lead end-to-end product design lifecycle activities, rapidly testing and iterating interface designs based on usability feedback.
Plan, conduct, and analyze generative and evaluative user research, including user interviews, surveys, and participant testing.
Synthesize research findings into clear design artifacts, such as empathy maps, user personas, customer journey maps, service blueprints, and affinity maps.
Create mood boards, collaboration boards, information architectures, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Incorporate web analytics, performance metrics, and user feedback into strategic design decisions and feature configurations.
Facilitate design discussions, alignment workshops, and negotiation sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Provide clear design rationales in group settings, presenting recommendations and advisory insights to project leads.
Collaborate closely with developers to ensure the feasibility and faithful implementation of design specifications.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & UX Experience
Strategic UX Leadership: Proven experience and expertise developing and executing user-centered design strategies for complex digital products and services.
End-to-End Design & Research: Demonstrated experience leading design from concept to production, including creating user research plans, facilitating testing, and maintaining UX performance measures.
Design Artifact Creation: Hands-on experience producing mood boards, empathy maps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and information architecture.
Prototyping Software: Advanced, mandatory hands-on experience using Figma and XDstudio.
Agile Collaboration: Experience working within Agile product delivery teams, sharing design tasks, and iterating work based on continuous feedback.
Preferred Assets
Front-End Development Knowledge: Practical experience or familiarity with coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a strong asset.
Design Portfolio: Candidates must provide a link to a digital portfolio showcasing relevant case studies and design deliverables.
Soft Skills & Delivery Attributes
Communication & Advisory: Exceptional ability to communicate designs, articulate rationale, and advise diverse stakeholders clearly.
