Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing tax returns for multiple entities including partnership returns
Responsible for the quarterly and annual consolidated tax provisions and tax reporting under IFRS,
Assist in the preparation of all intercompany reports as required
Prepare SRED tax credits claims as required
Review indirect tax remittances, as required
Managing income tax and indirect tax audits, including assisting with responses with Federal or provincial tax authorities, as required
Identify and Manage tax exposure / risk for the company and all its affiliates
Work on multiple complex issues while communicating in a client-centric manner
Perform or review research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with policies and professional standards
Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
Share knowledge with team members and assist in their development
Collaborate with internal tax colleagues on emerging international tax issues and GILTI implications
Some travel may be required

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting or related field of study
CPA Designation
Graduate level specialization in taxation (DESSF) or “CPA In-Depth Tax Course or other comparable advanced tax courses a plus
5+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of computerized systems such as Tax Prep or similar tax software, Excel, Oracle and Google suite
Comfortable in a technology environment including emerging AI functionalities in Tax
SKILLS
Knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act, Excise Tax Act, other tax legislations and technical aspects of tax compliance
Strong technical skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Coaching skills
Customer oriented and service driven

Bilingualism (French and English) is required due to regular communication with internal and external stakeholders across Canada and internationally.
Our Client operates across Canada, and globally. This company takes all reasonable means to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires this where it is necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to fulfil these job duties.
