As a principal technology architect, you will bridge the gap between business objectives, complex healthcare data flows, and modern cloud architecture frameworks. Operating within a hybrid work model, you will establish conceptual, logical, and physical solution designs, enforce privacy and security compliance, and align product roadmaps with enterprise architecture standards. This position is tailored for a seasoned architect who can lead front-end architecture using Angular and TypeScript, direct backend API integrations, and guide cross-functional Agile delivery squads to build high-performance healthcare platforms.

Architect end-to-end conceptual, logical, and physical solution designs for secure, scalable public-facing web applications.
Collaborate with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical user stories, acceptance criteria, and system specifications.
Design reusable components, front-end libraries, and architectural frameworks using Angular and TypeScript to drive scalability and maintainability.
Build and govern secure, authenticated application layers using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and REST-based APIs (.NET Core, Java, Node.js).
Integrate healthcare data flows and interoperability frameworks utilizing HL7 FHIR-based APIs and provincial digital assets.
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated build processes, and containerized deployment workflows in cloud environments.
Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure system reliability and responsiveness.
Collaborate with privacy and security teams to complete Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA) in compliance with PHIPA requirements.
Partner with QA teams to define test strategies, validate architectural intent, and ensure the delivery of high-quality releases.
Monitor application health using telemetry, logging, and alerting tools to proactively identify performance improvement opportunities.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers while fostering team knowledge-sharing in Scrum-based Agile environments.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Architectural Experience
Software Architecture Tenure: 10+ years of experience in software architecture with a proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
Healthcare Domain Expertise: 10+ years of demonstrated experience within Ontario's healthcare ecosystem, including eHealth integrations, EMR/EHR/HIS systems, and adherence to PHIPA privacy regulations.
Front-End Architecture Mastery: 10+ years of expert-level proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, and modern front-end architectural patterns.
Secure API & Authentication Experience: 10+ years of extensive experience building secure, authenticated customer-facing applications using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and REST-based APIs (.NET Core, Java, Node.js).
Healthcare Standards & Interoperability: 10+ years of solid understanding of HL7 FHIR-based APIs, SMART on FHIR frameworks, healthcare data flows, and interoperability principles.
