Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and maintain overarching test strategies, master test plans, automated execution frameworks, and traceability matrices across complex software development lifecycles.
Test Automation & Scripting: Design, build, and execute automated UI regression test suites, smoke tests, and release validation scripts using Playwright integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
API & Service Testing: Create and execute automated API test collections using Postman and vREST to validate REST APIs, event-driven subscriptions, authorization flows, and backend microservices.
Functional & Integration Testing: Lead full-lifecycle functional, system integration, end-to-end, regression, and user acceptance (UAT) testing across web applications, video platforms, and backend databases.
Interoperability & Data-Exchange Validation: Plan and execute testing for standards-based data feeds, identity workflows, authentication protocols (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT), and enterprise integration engines.
Defect Management & Triage: Facilitate defect triage sessions, prioritize and track issues through resolution, and generate defect trend metrics and risk assessments.
Governance & Release Reporting: Author test summary reports, automation coverage analyses, and release readiness assessments to provide formal go/no-go recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with development, security, privacy, and operations stakeholders to support test data preparation, production implementation, and post-release validation.
Qualifications
Senior Test Leadership: Senior-level experience leading test planning, coordination, execution, and release readiness assessments on complex application modernization or digital service projects (Strictly Required).
Core Artifact Authoring: Proven experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, and release readiness documentation (Strictly Required).
Functional & Backend Testing: Hands-on functional testing experience with React applications, Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, and database-driven solutions (Strictly Required).
Playwright Test Automation: Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation, regression test scripting, debugging, and CI/CD pipeline integration (Strictly Required).
API Testing Mastery: Hands-on API testing experience using Postman and vREST, including environment configurations, assertions, collection management, and API defect analysis (Strictly Required).
Interoperability & Security Protocols: Demonstrated experience testing standards-based interoperability workflows, identity systems, and security protocols (HL7v2, FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Mirth engine) (Strictly Required).
Public Sector Expertise: Prior experience delivering quality assurance leadership within public sector IT environments (Strictly Required).
Desirable Assets:
Experience testing video communication APIs (Pexip, Zoom) and virtual visit workflows.
Familiarity with hospital information systems (Epic, Cerner, MEDITECH) and referral management platforms.
Hands-on experience with AWS OpenSearch for logging, search validation, and operational dashboards.
