Responsibilities

Rapid Prototyping & Design Deliverables: Formulate and maintain critical design artifacts, including detailed user flows, comprehensive customer journey maps, sitemaps, structural wireframes, mockups, and interactive clickable prototypes optimized for multiple devices.
User Research & Behavioral Analytics: Plan, execute, and analyze qualitative and quantitative research tracks—encompassing field interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing—to uncover actionable user behaviors, motivations, and needs.
Multi-Stakeholder Facilitation & Alignment: Lead collaborative design workshops, co-creation sessions, and team reviews with technical developers and business teams to drive consensus and establish clear experience strategies.
Design System & Framework Governance: Enforce design consistency by applying structured interface standards and proven UX/UI frameworks, ensuring alignment with corporate digital service guidelines and look-and-feel paradigms.
Accessibility-First Design: Architect and validate digital assets to ensure they are inclusive and accessible by default, strictly conforming to digital compliance mandates and web content accessibility guidelines.
Technical Handoff & Specifications: Partner directly with front-end and back-end implementation teams, documenting clear design specifications, asset packages, and functional layout maps to streamline development.
Strategic Risk & Quality Engineering: Identify systemic design blockers, evaluate adoption barriers, and deliver structured risk-mitigation recommendations to senior leadership through proactive design validation.
Advisory & Knowledge Transfer: Provide expert-level technical counsel, coaching, and structured knowledge-transfer sessions to project teams to mature organizational user experience practices.
Qualifications
Core UX/UI Seniority: 8+ years of progressive professional experience leading user experience design, interface architecture, and digital product strategy across enterprise web and mobile ecosystems.
Design & Prototyping Toolkit Mastery: Expert-level, hands-on proficiency utilizing Figma, Adobe Suite, and Miro to construct shared component libraries, wireframes, and sophisticated clickable prototypes.
Research Planning & Execution: Proven experience designing and running diverse user testing models, qualitative interviews, behavioral analytics, and empirical data gathering.
Design System Acumen: Direct, practical experience implementing and designing interfaces in compliance with the Ontario Design System (ODS) framework and asset standards.
Accessibility Compliance Credentials: Deep knowledge of inclusive design principles and verified experience delivering products that strictly align with AODA and WCAG accessibility standards.
Consensus Engineering & Facilitation: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of running co-creation sessions and bridging alignment gaps between technical engineering teams and non-technical business partners.
SDLC & Engineering Literacy: Practical understanding of web development capabilities, technical platform limitations, and agile delivery methodologies.
