We’re partnering with an industry-leading organization seeking a highly motivated Senior Warehouse Manager to join their Edmonton team. You will be primarily responsible for the overall success of your business unit by contributing to the achievement of overarching company goals and objectives. You will be fully accountable for key aspects of the department's success, overseeing warehouse operations, sales, customer service, and billing, while ensuring the ongoing profitability of the department.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, train, coach, and evaluate the warehouse team to achieve departmental goals and ensure optimal staff performance.
Operations & Inventory Management: Oversee receiving, shipping, and distribution processes, control inventory levels through physical counts, and maintain the warehouse's physical condition.
Health, Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all company, federal, and local warehousing, material handling, and safety regulations.
Financial & Sales Accountability: Prepare annual budgets, manage expenditures, ensure the department meets operating income/expense targets, and negotiate vendor and client rates.
Customer & Vendor Relations: Drive customer satisfaction through Quality Management (measuring KPIs), resolve irregularities, oversee vendor performance, and meet with clients to develop tailored solutions.
Administration: Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks, including staff payroll and internal business reports.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of management experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Education & Certifications: Post-Secondary Education, Forklift Certification, Valid Class 5 driver's license, and WHMIS training (a TDG Certificate is a strong asset).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, AS400, Warehouse Operation systems, and hands-on experience operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, cargo vans, pallet jacks).
Operational Expertise: Proven experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), backed by a deep understanding of safety procedures and Health & Safety acts.
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong mathematical and analytical abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and meet tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, walking, lifting, pushing) and willingness to work in an active warehouse environment with exposure to noise, weather, and Dangerous Goods (DG).
