As the Field Service Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the service team. This position requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and customer focus. Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
Lead and motivate 10 Field Service Technicians to exceed sales revenue, gross margins, and income forecasts.
Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to technicians through occasional ride-alongs, enhancing technical skills and procedural knowledge.
Collaborate closely with the dispatch team to optimize Technician scheduling and ensure efficient deployment based on skills and job requirements.
Drive the achievement of Service Metrics Targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing concerns or disputes.
Champion Health & Safety protocols, consistently working to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
Manage Technician timecards, including approval of overtime and double-time, while also assisting with staffing decisions, recruitment, and orientations.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing employee development, and manage human resource duties such as team building and disciplinary actions.
Partner with the Service Sales team to optimize customer acquisition, renewals, and loyalty.
Qualifications
What you bring:
5+ years of Service Technician experience. (Heavy equipment preferred)
3 - 5 years of Heavy Equipment Supervisor or Manager experience (including dealing with the client-side of roles)
Strong customer service skills
Proven ability to motivate and develop a team
Experience in inventory and expense management, and familiarity with health and safety regulations and protocols
