Responsibilities
At the heart of the pressroom, your technical mastery will make all the difference:
Advanced Press Operation: Operate and precisely adjust the state-of-the-art Heidelberg XL 106 (40") and/or the 6-color Man Roland press (56").
Make-Ready & Setup: Read work orders, install plates and cylinders, and perform fine mechanical adjustments to ensure perfect registration.
Color Management: Fill ink fountains, adjust viscosity, and evaluate printed samples via the computerized control console to achieve total color density and absolute compliance.
Quality Control: Actively monitor production runs to prevent, detect, and instantly correct any printing defects or registration shifts.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular and preventative press maintenance to ensure the longevity and peak performance of the equipment.
Team Collaboration: Work in close synergy with press assistants and the production team to optimize workflows and hit tight deadlines.
Qualifications
To step into this specialized role, you must bring:
Required Experience: Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience operating large-format offset presses (40" or larger).
Technical Mastery: Advanced command of computerized control consoles for offset presses and sharp troubleshooting skills to diagnose color or registration anomalies.
Vision & Precision: Flawless color perception (a color vision test may be required) paired with excellent manual dexterity for fine mechanical tunings.
Key Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage production priorities in a fast-paced environment, a solid team spirit, and proactive communication.
