RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination: Manage daily incoming and outgoing shipments in close collaboration with carriers.
Quality Control & Compliance: Compare, verify, and validate the accuracy of received goods against invoices, purchase orders, or bills of lading. Meticulously verify shipment weights.
Documentation Management: Maintain rigorous shipping and receiving records, log missing items, and properly document/dispose of damaged goods.
Internal Logistics: Ensure internal distribution of incoming packages and envelopes to the appropriate departments.
Material Handling: Safely stage, stack, and secure goods on pallets for shipment and storage. Affix proper identification tags and delivery instructions.
Tracking: Accurately complete the digital and physical logs for all shipped merchandise.
Qualifications
To excel in this role and ensure a smooth transition, we are looking for the following profile:
Experience: 5 to 6 years of solid experience in shipping/receiving (ideally in an industrial or regulated environment). A 3-year experience profile may be considered for a temporary-to-permanent (TTP) path.
Software Skills: Proficiency with business software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and mandatory knowledge of an ERP system.
Technical Skills: Valid forklift certification and proven hands-on operational experience on the floor.
Industry Standards: Ability to work under strict quality and safety certifications (experience with FSSC22000, GMP, AIB, EcoCert, or Kosher/MK is a strong asset).
Additional Assets: WHMIS (SIMDUT) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG/TMD) certifications.
Key Traits: Absolute accuracy, good communication skills, professional stability, and a proven ability to work independently and productively (introverted/independent profiles are highly welcome).
Hiring Requirements: Must pass a criminal background check and reference checks.
