Are you an eagle-eyed warehouse associate who takes pride in 100% order accuracy? Randstad Canada is seeking a dedicated Shipping Assistant & Order Auditor to join an industry-leading manufacturing and supply chain facility in Brantford.
In this high-impact quality assurance role, you will serve as the final line of defense before goods leave the building. You'll ensure outgoing inventory matches customer purchase orders, verify part/SKU details, spot packaging defects, and help keep daily shipping operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
- Precision Auditing: Verify outgoing merchandise against packing lists, bills of lading, and digital pick sheets to guarantee error-free shipments.
- Product Inspection: Conduct hands-on checks for correct SKU numbers, exact item counts, and intact packaging before freight staging.
- Staging & Preparation: Assist primary shippers with palletizing, stretch-wrapping, labeling, and organizing outgoing orders.
- Issue Reporting: Document product damage or inventory variances and report them promptly to supervisors.
- Equipment Operation: Safely use manual or powered pallet jacks to move verified freight to dock staging lanes.
- Documentation Maintenance: Fill out audit logs, tick sheets, and shipping manifests neatly and accurately.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with forklift drivers, general laborers, and shipping clerks to keep warehouse throughput efficient.
- Safety & Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, follow safe lifting practices, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ months in a shipping helper, order picker, quality control, or general warehouse role.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated focus on numerical matching, code verification, and quality standards.
- Communication: Functional English (written and verbal) to read pick documents, complete logs, and coordinate with team leaders.
- Physical Capabilities: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and comfortably stand/walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Safety Gear: CSA-approved safety footwear (steel-toe boots/shoes) is mandatory.
- Tech Comfort: Basic digital literacy and familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliability: Dependable transit to ensure a consistent 8:00 AM start in Brantford, ON.
