In this role, you will help drive the deployment of a unified corporate collection and billing platform. We are looking for versatile tech talent to fill three distinct engineering streams: backend integration, full-stack innovation, and production environment optimization. If you want your code to impact millions of transactions within a modern Agile ecosystem, this mandate is for you.
Advantages
Compensation: Highly flexible hourly rates tailored directly to your level of expertise.
Longevity: Strong potential for contract extensions or permanent career conversion.

Qualifications
A University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a combination of equivalent education and relevant professional experience.
Proven practical experience in Java software development (open to junior, intermediate, and senior depth).
Strong analytical skill set with an organized approach to solving complex problems.
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a team-oriented mindset alongside strong autonomy.
Fluency in French and English.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
Preferred Assets:
Hands-on experience with the Guidewire ecosystem (specifically BillingCenter, Cloud/SaaS editions, or major platform version migrations).
Solid command of backend and frontend tools: Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Angular.
Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Cucumber or Rest Assured.
Experience embedding automated tests into modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with team tools like Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
Functional knowledge of the property and casualty insurance sector or financial billing workflows.
Summary
Location: Montreal or Saint-Hyacinthe, QC (Hybrid model: 2 days/week in-office)
Duration: 6 months (Start Date: July 6, 2026 End Date: December 7, 2026)
Position Type: Contract (with high potential for extension or permanent hiring)
Work Schedule: Full-Time (35 hours per week)
