Responsibilities
System Configuration & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end technical configuration and deployment of GK Software modules to optimize omni-channel retail operations, point-of-sale (POS) systems, store inventory management networks, and customer engagement channels.
Enterprise Platform Integration: Partner with cross-functional IT and business squads to design and maintain secure data integration pathways between the core POS software and upstream enterprise resource planning (ERP) or supply chain engines, including SAP, Blue Yonder, and Manhattan Associates.
Testing & Release Deployment: Plan and execute comprehensive system testing, software deployment packaging, debugging, and code troubleshooting to maintain stable platform environments.
Tier-3 Operational Support: Monitor real-time platform metrics to maximize uptime and system reliability; provide expert technical support, diagnose application defects, and coordinate directly with third-party vendors for rapid incident restoration.
Lifecycle & Patch Management: Plan, test, and apply software updates, configuration revisions, and security patches to verify that store systems remain highly secure, compliant, and structurally stable.
Data Analytics & Governance: Analyze transactional telemetry and log data to flag operational bottlenecks, verify absolute data integrity against corporate governance guidelines, and construct performance dashboards to measure store KPIs.
Technical Documentation & Enablement: Draft, update, and organize configuration schemas, low-level technical manuals, and end-user playbooks while delivering operational readiness training to technical stakeholders for upcoming product releases.
Qualifications
Core Systems Engineering Experience: 5+ years of progressive, hands-on professional experience implementing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting GK Software POS components or tightly matching tier-one enterprise retail software environments.
Enterprise Ecosystem Integration: Direct, practical experience managing data routing and functional integrations linking store systems with complex back-office networks such as SAP, Blue Yonder, or Manhattan Associates.
Retail Domain Expertise: Solid functional understanding of core retail operational workflows, covering point-of-sale transaction processing, omni-channel loyalty programs, and automated inventory balancing.
Quality Assurance & Triage Skills: Verified expertise managing end-to-end unit and system integration testing, multi-tier software troubleshooting, log analysis, and database bug fixes.
Methodological Delivery Frameworks: Practical experience delivering software changes within structured, collaborative Agile development sprint cycles.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or an approved equivalent combination of education and senior professional platform engineering experience.
Highly Desirable Assets:
Formal GK Software professional certifications or specialized technical credentials in enterprise point-of-sale solutions.
Structural process credentials such as an ITIL Foundation Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
