Responsibilities
Direct the end-to-end application architecture across key digital systems, participating in business design sessions to present viable architectural alternatives.
Ensure all application designs align seamlessly with overarching enterprise standards and long-term organizational scaling.
Establish technical best practices, lead code reviews, and author high-level architecture documentation.
Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and code security vulnerabilities early in development, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
Maintain systemic architectural integrity by defining integration frameworks, sub-systems, and component interfaces across software and hardware streams.
Partner with PMO and engineering leads to guide project estimation, schedule planning, and scope gap analyses.
Build standard, reusable architectural assets to streamline future system deployments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of dedicated experience operating as a Senior Solution Architect.
5 to 7 years of deep, senior-level technical expertise with Microsoft technologies and AWS.
Demonstrated track record architecting custom software, COTS software integration, and complex ERP/CRM solutions.
Hands-on proficiency with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, cloud architectures (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), Java/JEE or .NET, and REST/SOAP web services.
Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical executive leadership.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
