As a principal solutions architect, you will bridge the gap between business objectives, security standards, and modern technology strategies. Operating on-site within a forward-deployed pod structure, you will design architectural blueprints, establish target-state roadmaps, evaluate high-risk solution options, and govern the implementation of high-throughput eventing systems across the enterprise. This position is tailored for a seasoned technical authority who can independently direct solution designs, build consensus across cross-functional business units, and drive cloud-first architectures.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure solution architectures aligned with enterprise technology standards and domain strategies.
Design and optimize high-throughput eventing, messaging, and notification frameworks utilizing Kafka, Confluent Cloud, and Azure environments.
Forward deploy to specialized pods delivering core technical shared services across the organization.
Create comprehensive architectural documentation, option assessments, target-state views, and executive-level summaries for complex projects.
Collaborate with Center of Excellence (CoE) partners and security leads to evaluate technical risks and validate solution security designs.
Research and analyze business requirements to recommend optimal, cost-effective, and compliant software and infrastructure architectures.
Provide architectural governance, reviewing detailed project designs to ensure alignment with security baselines and enterprise patterns.
Partner with Technology Systems Analysts to create Requirements Traceability Matrices, ensuring end-to-end alignment between requirements and technical execution.
Build consensus and facilitate cross-functional decision-making to align business initiatives with long-term IT strategies.
Conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews to verify that delivered technology solutions satisfy operational and business goals.
Evaluate emerging industry trends, new technologies, and cloud platform innovations to identify gaps and enhance current architectural frameworks.
Provide expert consultation and technical mentorship to project teams, business analysts, and external vendor partners.
Qualifications
Core Technical & Architectural Experience
Professional Architecture Tenure: 10+ years of relevant experience in software, cloud, and solution architecture, with a proven track record of designing high-complexity enterprise solutions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (Graduate degree preferred).
Cloud Platform Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience designing cloud-first architectures, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Eventing & Messaging Systems: Strong background designing, tuning, and scaling high-volume, high-throughput eventing and messaging architectures.
Kafka & Confluent Depth: Proven experience working with Apache Kafka and Confluent Cloud platforms.
Preferred Assets
Experience designing high-volume notification or event-driven solutions within the Financial Services (FI) industry.
Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and Amazon Connect integration.
Soft Skills & Leadership Attributes
Consultative Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Autonomous Execution: Demonstrated ability to work independently on highly visible, complex, and high-risk initiatives.
