Responsibilities
- Design and drive the setup of complex solutions on enterprise cloud platforms (Azure and AWS). Collaborate with architects to ensure every design stage aligns with approved architectural artifacts and roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to reproduce environment configurations across the solution lifecycle. This includes reusable cloud environment configurations and the deployment of both COTS and custom applications.
- Develop comprehensive solution documentation, including configuration guides and run books. Maintain all configurations in version control systems such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.
- Lead DR and failover exercises using automated processes. Determine the feasibility of environment repair versus redeployment in the event of an unrepairable crash.
- Provide guidance on optimizing cost/performance ratios using cloud-native and 3rd-party tools. Implement monitoring, alerts, and notifications for downtimes and errors.
- Mentor junior developers and lead multidisciplinary teams to coordinate components for successful delivery. Assist with 3rd-level troubleshooting for complex technical design issues.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining large, highly available, mission-critical on-prem and cloud solutions.
- Expertise in RESTful/SOAP web services, JSON, and XML.
- Fluency in Git-based source code management (GitHub, GitLab).
- Proficiency with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Deep understanding of Information Security best practices, including Encryption, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Network zoning, and Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Experience with 24x7 critical environments and large-scale healthcare IT infrastructure.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to translate complex technical options into business-friendly recommendations for stakeholders.
