Strategic Consultation & Requirement Architecture
Business Model Strategy: Analyze, optimize, and innovate complex current-state commercial insurance workflows, mapping out progressive future-state business capabilities.
Fit-Gap Engineering: Conduct comprehensive fit-gap analysis matching unique commercial product requirements against native Duck Creek platform capabilities to recommend optimal technical solution designs.
Functional Artifact Design: Translate abstract business rules into high-fidelity functional specifications, user stories, and structural design documents covering policy life cycles, complex rating, and forms implementation.
Stakeholder Alignment: Lead requirement discovery workshops, walk-through sessions, and steering committee presentations to secure formal stakeholder sign-offs.
Platform Configuration Support & Quality Governance
Duck Creek Solution Delivery: Partner with engineering squads to guide and support detailed product configuration activities inside Duck Creek Author, Product Studio, Rating, and Forms (Manuscripts).
UAT & Validation Leadership: Lead requirement validation activities and orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases, actively driving technical defect triage and production resolution.
Cross-Team Integration: Collaborate across distributed program teams to ensure unified data flows, support high-stakes project choices, and provide strategic technical research.
Professional Mentorship: Mentor intermediate analysts and promote industry best practices to continuously elevate software delivery consistency and system quality.
Qualifications
Commercial Insurance Expertise: 15+ years of deep, progressive professional experience within the Commercial Insurance domain, demonstrating expert-level knowledge of commercial workflows and underwriting logic.
Insurance Solutions Blueprinting: 15+ years of referenceable experience architecting end-to-end technological Insurance Solutions within large corporate environments.
Business Model Strategy: 10+ years of proven experience formulating, evaluating, and implementing high-level corporate Business Model Strategies to modernize operations.
Duck Creek Technical Depth: 3 to 5 years of direct hands-on experience working with Duck Creek Insurance Products, specifically showing operational familiarity with Duck Creek Policy Administration (Core), Author, Product Studio, Rating, and Forms/Manuscripts.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
Soft Skills: Elite verbal and written communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills. A highly analytical self-starter with the political acumen required to influence senior executives, build organizational consensus, and clarify complex technical logic.
