Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Leadership: Plan and execute end-to-end business analysis using BABOK methodologies. Elicit, analyze, and document functional/non-functional requirements, business rules, process flows (BPMN), and acceptance criteria.
Functional Design & SDLC Governance: Partner with architects, developers, and QA/QE teams to shape functional design decisions. Support Agile/hybrid delivery mechanisms, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, defect triage, and UAT planning.
Data Analysis & Validation: Actively write and execute SQL queries to extract and validate data, map data structures across integration points, and perform root-cause analysis on system behaviors.
AI-Enabled Efficiency: Strategically utilize AI tools to speed up requirements discovery, documentation, and trend analysis while ensuring rigorous adherence to enterprise data privacy and verification protocols.
CI/CD & Quality Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure requirements support modern automation frameworks, automated gates, versioning controls, and release readiness.
Qualifications
7+ years of professional experience as an IT Business Analyst, specifically supporting complex enterprise technology initiatives.
Mandatory Domain Expertise: Robust knowledge of Reinsurance operations (e.g., billing, settlements, treaties, or claims interfaces) paired with broader Insurance industry experience.
BABOK Toolkit Mastery: Expert knowledge across BABOK knowledge areas with a proven background in establishing data mapping, traceability matrices, use cases, and user stories.
Technical & Data Skills: Strong ability to write and optimize SQL queries. A solid understanding of API concepts (REST), interface processing, and log analysis for defect triaging.
SDLC & DevOps Familiarity: Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery models, CI/CD pipeline concepts, automated testing frameworks, and delivery tools like Jira and Confluence.
AI Tools Utilization: Experience leveraging generative AI tools for productivity gains (e.g., structured prompt creation, documentation assistance, summarization).
Education & Certifications (Preferred): Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related fields. Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are highly advantageous.
Experience operating under financial/regulatory control frameworks (such as SOX or IFC) is an asset.
