Compensation & Schedule
Base Rate: $36.00/hour + $3/hour premium on night shift
Schedule: Day or Night Shift
- Day Shift Monday – Thursday 6:30AM-4:00PM; Friday 6:30AM-2:45PM
- Night Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 3:30 AM)
Location: Edmonton or Nisku (particularly interested in filling positions at the Nisku shop)

Responsibilities
Expert Fabrication: Accurately cut, prep, and fit critical structural components, including heavy industrial columns, large-scale support beams, and complex balcony structures.
Blueprint Mastery: Translate intricate engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints into high-quality steel structures that easily pass strict quality assurance and inspection protocols.
Versatile Welding: Execute strong manual tack welds to secure your fit-ups, and seamlessly transition to operating modern robotic welding equipment (full training provided).
Collaborative Safety & Quality: Partner with a large team of welders and fabricators in a safety-first environment. Uphold the highest quality standards by strictly adhering to a "measure twice, cut once" philosophy on every project.
Qualifications
Demonstrated Layout Expertise: You possess a strong background in structural steel fitting and layout. You know your way around a tape measure, clearly understand complex welding symbols, and can meet incredibly tight tolerances.
Keen Eye for Detail: Mathematical precision is second nature to you. You verify every angle, ensure all connections are perfectly plumb and square, and place bulletproof tacks to hold it all together.
Certifications: Possessing active CWB FCAW tickets for all positions is considered a huge asset, but your proven shop experience and raw layout capabilities are our absolute top priorities.
Physical Stamina & Reliability: You have an impeccable attendance record and the physical endurance required to maneuver heavy steel and work long hours in a fast-paced, noisy fabrication shop.
Reliable Transportation: Because these industrial locations in Edmonton and Nisku are entirely outside of public transit routes, possessing a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle is a mandatory requirement.
