Responsibilities
•System Analysis: Examine existing systems, software, and business workflows to identify inefficiencies, issues, and areas for technical optimization.
•Requirements Gathering: Collect and document user requirements from business stakeholders and seamlessly translate them into technical specifications.
•Technical Documentation: Create detailed system specifications, diagrams, and technical manuals, while maintaining strict records of system configurations and updates.
•Stakeholder Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between business interest holders and IT teams, ensuring all documentation is clearly understood by both sides.
•Architecture & Delivery Support: Participate in software architecture decisions and assist with daily project management tasks.
•Compliance & Security: Ensure all system improvements align with cybersecurity compliance, risk assessments, and internal organizational policies.
Qualifications
•Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, alongside a required Business Analysis certification (e.g., IIBA). A PMP certification is considered a strong asset.
•Core Experience: 4+ years of dedicated experience as a Business Analyst, with a deep understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
•Technical Aptitude: Proven experience working with technical teams on APIs, system integrations, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
•Tools of the Trade: Hands-on proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and standard project management tools.
•Soft Skills: Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
•Industry Asset: Prior experience working within higher education or public-sector environments is highly desirable.
