Responsibilities
● Deliver projects to budget, schedule, and quality standards; provide overall
supervision and project management leadership during the full project life cycle.
● Support Alberta business development and market strategies, engage in
partnering discussions and preparation of proposals and technical pursuits
● Liaise with Alberta clients, participate in business development and promotional
activities for the company
● Lead project-related Client relationships; attend weekly design and progress
meetings, as required
● Oversee and contribute to conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including
coordination of engineering disciplines and supervision of drawing production
● Work with our production team on resource management, schedules and budgets
in the preparation of proposals
● Preparate and negotiate contract documents, liaise with internal Contract
Management / Legal team
● Monitor project schedules, coordinate and maintain contact with sub-consultants,
municipalities, utility companies, railways and Clients, and assist with contract
administration, as assigned
● Accountable to client and contractor questions, review shop drawings and attend
sites during construction, as required.
● Support in building/implementing a business strategy to successfully grow and
deliver the existing roads and highways business within Alberta and for the Western
Canada Region.
Qualifications
● Minimum of 10 years of transportation engineering experience with at least 4 of
those in a project management role
● Strong project management experience on various transportation projects, ideally
within Alberta
● Familiar with Alberta Transportation and/or City of Edmonton guidelines,
specifications, and procedures
● Ability to work across multi-disciplinary transport projects, from roads to transit
● Strong leadership and communication skills
● Proven experience in winning and delivering engineering services for road and
highway projects in varying size and complexity, from planning through construction
● Strong understanding of road and highway planning, design, and construction
● Professional Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
● Hold a Professional License(s) in the Province of Alberta, or eligibility
