Responsibilities
Your Daily Routine (50% Field & Inventory / 50% IT & Admin) :
This position offers the perfect balance between physical outdoor work and administrative office management. Your day starts early in the morning in the field:
In the Field (Regardless of weather):
- Start the day by conducting inventory directly in the trucks and yard (outdoors, rain or shine).
- Continuously monitor and record trailer movements (ins/outs, arrivals/departures).
- Regularly inspect trailers to detect damages or maintenance needs.
- Safety: Steel-toe boots are mandatory.
In the Office (IT & Logistics):
- Prepare shipments and track orders on the computer.
- Update trailer statuses in the system in real time.
- Log maintenance requests and document equipment usage frequency or downtime.
- Communicate with logistics, maintenance, and loading teams.
Qualifications
What it takes to excel in this role:
- Experience: You have previously worked in a warehouse or have experience in inventory management.
- Tech Skills: You are highly comfortable using computers. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, web applications, and ideally TruckMate software (or the ability to learn it quickly) is required.
- Bilingualism: Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is essential to communicate with teams and drivers.
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or customer service role, ideally in transportation or operations.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment, strong priority management, and conflict resolution skills.
