Position: Record Center Specialist (Warehouse Worker)
Location: Ottawa, ON (Kanata)
Pay: $17.60/hr
Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:30:AM - 07:00:PM

Responsibilities
• Process incoming and outgoing orders by manually moving boxes of files, binders, books, and backup tapes.
• Lift, carry, and arrange storage boxes, bins, and totes weighing between 24 lbs and up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Safely load, operate, and maneuver material handling aids, including hand trucks, hand carts, and pallet jacks.
• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, reach, stoop, and bend forward frequently.
• Use our client's proprietary computer system to track orders and precisely determine the location of specific boxes.
• Operate hand-held RF scanners to scan barcodes and update inventory status in real-time.
• Load boxes onto pallets and secure them by shrink-wrapping pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Load completed pallets onto transport trucks manually or using designated material handling equipment.
• Safely climb and balance on ladders to access high-level shelving units within the record center.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in a physical role such as a Warehouse Worker, General Labourer, or Material Handler is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs consistently and without assistance.
• Capability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and bend over concrete and uneven surfaces for extended periods of time.
• Full professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to process order labels and follow safety guidelines.
• Steel-toed safety boots (CSA approved) are mandatory for this work environment.
• Reliability, strong work ethic, and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.
