In this strategic consulting role, you will be responsible for managing assigned digital transformation projects from brief through to delivery. You will lead the initiatives that are reshaping how the global People & Culture function operates—modernizing the Workday HCM platform, automating complex HR workflows, building foundational enterprise data structures, and enabling next-generation AI-driven HR solutions. Partnering closely with People Systems, enterprise IT, and global business units, you will drive a multi-year technology roadmap designed to improve process efficiency, data quality, employee experience, and strategic decision-making.
Duration: 6-Month Contract (with high potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Primarily based out of the North Vancouver, BC office with remote flexibility)

Responsibilities
Workday Modernization & HR Workflow Automation
Strategic Roadmap Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and governance of Workday modernization initiatives, including platform upgrades, configuration optimization, system integrations, and key use-case deliveries.
Workflow Automation Design: Facilitate workshops to map future-state processes and build automated workflows for onboarding/offboarding, merit & compensation cycles, retail workforce management, data governance, and position management.
Technical Requirement Definition: Translate complex HR business requirements into detailed technical specifications in alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
Data Foundations & AI Roadmap Enablement
Data Lake Integration: Oversee the ingestion of P&C data into the enterprise Data Lake, partnering with Data & Analytics teams to ensure data quality, lineage, and governance.
System Interoperability: Coordinate integrations between Workday, downstream business platforms, and analytics systems to enhance executive reporting and enable AI tools.
AI Feature Enablement: Execute AI-driven HR deliverables (automation, predictive analytics, intelligent workflows, and AI-assisted service delivery), assessing data feasibility and system readiness.
Program Delivery, Governance & Stakeholder Management
End-to-End Governance: Own project plans, budgets, schedules, interdependencies, RAID logs, and success metrics in alignment with formal enterprise delivery frameworks.
Testing & Cutover Management: Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), integration testing, and cutover execution for new workflows, integrations, and automated tools.
Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitate decision pathways, manage risk escalations, and deliver clear status updates to senior leadership and global partners.
Qualifications
Project Management Experience: 4+ years of professional project management experience, including 3+ years as a technical project manager leading system, workflow, or data-driven projects.
HCM & Workday Expertise: Proven track record delivering enterprise HR or HCM system transformations—ideally centered around the Workday platform ecosystem.
Technical Integration & Data Literacy: Direct experience managing system integrations, workflow automation, data architecture/Data Lake initiatives, or analytics/AI enablement projects.
Delivery Tooling Proficiency: Strong hands-on capability with project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com), tracking tools (Jira), and productivity platforms (MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-functional leadership, relationship-building, and communication skills; thriving in ambiguous environments with a builder mindset focused on clarity, structure, and scalable problem-solving.
