Note on requirements: You must have a strong foundation. We need an apprentice with around 2,000 hours already stamped in their bluebook. This is for someone ready to hit the ground running.
Overview:
Location: Thorsby, AB (Must reside within a 40-minute commute)
Wage: $23.00/hour + Unlimited Overtime Potential
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (Day Shift)

Responsibilities
Heavy-Duty Wire Feed: Master FCAW and MCAW (flat position) while laying down serious wire on heavy, industrial-grade projects alongside our veteran journeymen.
Structural Steel Fabrication: Build out massive I-beams, complex tower sections, and heavy structural frameworks from blueprints to the final product.
Precision Jig Work: Utilize custom shop jigs and master advanced standoff welding techniques to ensure every piece meets strict manufacturing tolerances.
Safety Leadership: Maintain a clean, organized bay and strictly adhere to our heavy-manufacturing safety protocols to ensure everyone goes home intact.
Qualifications
Apprenticeship Status: Active registration as an Alberta 1st or 2nd-Year Welder Apprentice (2nd-year candidates will be given priority).
Proven Shop Experience: You must have a minimum of 2,000 verified hours signed off in your bluebook. We need someone who already knows their way around a fabrication shop.
Technical Baseline: Solid hands-on experience running FCAW, MCAW, or MIG processes on steel.
Commute Radius: You must reside within a 40-minute driving distance of our Thorsby facility, with reliable transportation.
Bonus Asset: Active CWB tickets are a massive advantage and will immediately bump your application to the top of the pile.
