As the Assistant Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations and maintaining the strong financial controls that drive their success.

Responsibilities
• Lead the month-end closing cycle, including the preparation of bank reconciliations and variance analysis to maintain high reporting standards.
• Execute weekly payroll processing for both office personnel and on-site CCQ employees.
• Oversee and process all government and statutory remittances, including CCQ, WSIB, WCB, RRSPs, and group insurance.
• Monitor and manage financial obligations specific to construction projects, such as building permits and mall deposits.
• Conduct thorough monthly reviews and validations of petty cash, corporate credit cards, and employee card reports.
• Actively support the implementation of new accounting systems while participating in ongoing troubleshooting, upgrades, and process improvements.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, specifically within the construction industry
• Experience with construction-specific payroll and related remittances (CCQ)
• Bilingualism (French and English)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and extensive experience operating within ERP environments.
* Communicate with English-speaking partners located outside of Quebec on a daily basis.
