Responsibilities
- Freight Handling: Safely load/unload trailers using manual handling equipment (hand trucks, carts).
- Inbound/Outbound Verification: Cross-reference incoming shipments with packing slips, bills of lading, and POs to maintain 100% accuracy.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, label, and secure fabricated metal components for final dispatch.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect outgoing parts and packaging for visible defects or missing hardware before staging.
- Inventory & 5S Maintenance: Organize stock zones, assist with physical cycle counts, and keep the shop floor tidy and hazard-free.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous background in warehouse operations, material handling, or shipping/receiving.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle physical labor, including standing, bending, and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
- PPE Requirement: CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots are mandatory.
- Key Skills: Basic math for item counts, strong eye for part numbers, and a safety-first mindset.
- Logistics: Reliable transportation to the industrial district in Brantford, ON.
