Responsibilities
As the Project Manager IV (Audit Manager), your daily contributions will include:
•Audit Leadership: Act as a specialized resource for complex audits, providing subject matter expertise during the planning, risk assessment, and execution phases.
•Strategic Reporting: Lead ongoing audit communications and the reporting process with internal clients and senior management.
•Stakeholder Management: Conduct high-level meetings with internal business partners (approx. 20% of your schedule) to discuss findings and provide guidance on complex situations.
•Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all audit activities align with evolving regulatory requirements and internal standards.
•Operational Oversight: Execute rigorous follow-ups on findings from internal audits and regulatory reviews.
•Innovation: Identify and recommend improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of audit initiatives.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
•CPA Designation: A valid CPA is a mandatory requirement for this role.
•Years of Experience: 8–10 years of overall experience in audit (internal or external).
•Sector Expertise: Previous audit experience within a "Big 5" Canadian bank is required.
•Technical Proficiency: Extensive background in audit control, audit planning, risk assessment, and reporting.
•Education: Post-secondary education (Undergraduate degree).
•Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong oral/written communication skills for internal stakeholder interaction.
Nice-to-Haves:
•Specific Domain Knowledge: Previous experience specifically within Wealth Management.
•Leadership Qualities: A proven ability to mentor team members and influence key partners.
Summary
This is a contract engagement starting April 27, 2026, and running through October 31, 2026. Please note that there is currently no extension or permanent conversion offered for this specific backfill assignment. The role follows a standard Monday–Friday, 9–5 schedule, though flexibility for occasional overtime is required based on audit volume.
