Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
•Lead projects from handoff through completion.
•Develop project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
•Define project scope and communicate expectations.
•Monitor project progress and proactively address risks or delays.
•Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
•Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Customer Relationship Management
•Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
•Conduct project kickoff meetings and regular status updates.
•Manage customer expectations regarding schedule, scope, and budget.
•Resolve project-related issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
•Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and responsiveness.
Financial Management
•Track project costs, labour hours, material expenditures, and subcontractor expenses.
•Manage project change orders and scope adjustments.
•Support invoicing and payment milestone tracking.
Resource Coordination
•Coordinate internal resources across multiple departments.
•Schedule field service technicians, installers, and subcontractors.
•Work with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials.
•Monitor workload demands and assist with project prioritization.
Risk Management
•Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
•Monitor schedule, budget, quality, and safety risks.
•Address issues proactively to minimize project impact.
Reporting
•Provide regular project status reports to management.
•Track key project performance indicators.
•Maintain project schedules and progress reports.
•Participate in management and project review meetings.
Qualifications
Education
•Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field.
•PMP certification is considered an asset.
Experience
•3-7+ years of project management experience in industrial automation, material handling, conveyors, manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
•Experience managing custom-engineered projects.
•Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
•Knowledge of contract management and change order processes.
Technical Knowledge
•Understanding of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, automation systems, and industrial manufacturing processes.
•Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
•Experience with ERP and project tracking systems considered an asset.
