Randstad is partnering with a globally recognized pioneer in automation and robotics to find an experienced Project Manager to join their Applications Engineering team. In this role, you will take full ownership of assigned projects—with a heavy focus on cutting-edge Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) deployments—spanning from pre-sales technical scoping through to final commissioning and closeout.
...
As a Project Manager, you will serve as the central hub connecting sales, cross-functional engineering teams, and the customer. This role requires an agile approach, strong financial acumen, and a deep understanding of automated systems to keep high-value projects on schedule, within scope, and hitting margin targets.
Advantages
Full-Time, Permanent Stability: Permanent career path with a stable and growing global leader in the tech manufacturing space.
End-to-End Ownership: Run with projects from initial schematic design all the way through to physical panel layout and circuit troubleshooting.
Professional Growth: Collaborate daily with engineers and manufacturing teams, expanding your expertise in Automation and AMRs.
Responsibilities
Project Execution & Timeline Management
Scope & Delivery: Clarify, document, and manage overall project scope, work breakdown structures, and customer requirements from inception to completion.
Timeline Ownership: Develop and maintain rigorous project schedules (using MS Project or Gantt tracking tools) and coordinate daily site/operational activities.
Matrix Leadership: Establish a clear responsibility matrix across stakeholders and lead cross-functional delivery teams (typically 2–4 engineers/specialists) without direct supervisory authority.
Financial & Risk Control
P&L Accountability: Analyze project profitability, manage budgets, track cost-to-completion projections, and secure timely progress payment invoicing.
Scope Creep Mitigation: Work closely with sales and client stakeholders to identify, quote, and execute change requests, actively protecting planned profit margins.
Risk Management: Proactively identify project gaps, develop immediate countermeasures, and minimize company liability and exposure.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for client interactions, building long-term trust and a strong understanding of their business goals.
Communication: Lead periodic status meetings with internal and external stakeholders; deliver clear presentations and maintain thorough documentation (open issue logs, ERP/CRM records, lessons learned).
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or an equivalent blend of education and practical technical experience.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related technical or engineering project management experience.
