Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst in Fixed Income Operations, a typical "day in the life" involves managing critical trade lifecycles and ensuring operational accuracy. Your core responsibilities will include:
Trade Management: Ensuring all Tri-Party trades are properly booked, matched, funded, and allocated.
Multi-Currency Clearing: Overseeing settlement processes across BONY, JPM, and CCMS for both US and CAD currencies.
System Navigation: Utilizing specialized industry software to track, resolve, and streamline processing bottlenecks.
Process Enhancement (Nice-to-Have): Documenting and updating standing procedures to improve operational efficiency, and occasionally running projects to coordinate efforts across different internal groups.
Qualifications
Must Have
Industry Experience: 5 to 10 years of dedicated Fixed Income experience within Operations and Settlements.
Core Systems: Solid, hands-on experience using ADP/BPS, APEX, and ICI processing systems.
Settlement Networks: Strong working knowledge of settlements via BONY, DTC, and GSCC.
Platform Proficiency: Direct experience utilizing Bony Access Edge, JPM Markets, and CCMS.
Standard Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Soft Skills & Competencies
Analytical Power: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strict attention to detail.
Execution: Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
Experience leading or running operational projects and coordinating across cross-functional groups.
A background in documenting, writing, and updating standing operating procedures (SOPs).
