BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST – Intelligent Document Processing & Digital Transformation
Are you a Business Systems Analyst who understands both business processes AND the technology behind Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)?
Here’s your opportunity to work on a high-impact digital transformation initiative, helping modernize how organizations capture, process, extract and manage information from documents.
...
This is not your typical BSA role. You’ll be at the intersection of business analysis, AI, OCR, machine learning, workflow automation and enterprise technology — helping transform manual, document-heavy processes into intelligent, automated digital workflows.
Advantages
This is an opportunity to be part of a transformation that is moving document processing from manual and rules-driven → intelligent, automated and data-driven.
You understand how documents move through an enterprise, how information is extracted from them, how AI determines what that information means, and how that data ultimately gets into downstream systems.
You can comfortably sit in a room with a business stakeholder and technical folks and translate between all of them.
Experience with Tungsten/Kofax TotalAgility is ideal (highly desirable), particularly if you've worked on digital mailroom, document capture, scanning, financial services, insurance, claims or other high-volume document environments.
Responsibilities
You'll work across the full document lifecycle — from scanning and capture through AI-powered classification and extraction, human validation, workflow automation, integration, retention and secure destruction.
🔹 Lead discovery sessions and translate business needs into detailed technical requirements
🔹 Analyze current-state processes and design smarter, more automated future-state workflows
🔹 Define document classification, data extraction and business rules
🔹 Work with OCR, AI/ML and confidence-based extraction models
🔹 Help train, test and tune document-extraction models using real-world sample data
🔹 Define human-in-the-loop exception and validation processes
🔹 Define source-to-target data mappings and integration requirements
🔹 Work closely with architects, developers, QA, data teams, operations and technology partners
🔹 Support testing, implementation, production readiness and ongoing optimization
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable working with Intelligent Document Processing technology.
Key experience includes:
✅ Kofax TotalAgility / Tungsten TotalAgility — or a comparable enterprise IDP platform
✅ OCR and document recognition
✅ Document classification and AI-based data extraction
✅ Confidence scoring and human validation workflows
✅ Machine-learning model training and tuning
✅ APIs, JSON, XML, CSV and secure file transfer
✅ Source-to-target data mapping
✅ SQL / databases / ETL concepts
✅ PDF, TIFF, JPEG and other document/image formats
