In this critical technical validation role, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing comprehensive test cases and complex test scenarios for functional system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT). Operating across multiple legacy and modern enterprise platforms, you will ensure that newly deployed application modules meet documented business requirements, technical specifications, and strict operational standards. This position is ideal for a senior QA specialist who pairs a deep foundational understanding of core software development methodologies with excellent diagnostic and testing tool navigation skills to drive end-to-end quality within a dynamic enterprise ecosystem.
Duration: 5-Month Contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days per week on-site at the corporate office, 1 day work from home)

Responsibilities
Test Scenario Engineering: Analyze business processes and functional system requirements to construct clear, highly effective test scenarios, test cases, and custom validation scripts.
System Integration Validation: Execute rigorous integration, system-level, and user acceptance tests to ensure software outcomes perfectly match documented operational goals.
Metrics & Results Analysis: Define strict pass/fail quality criteria, analyze test run data, isolate complex system bugs, and deliver detailed defect diagnostic reports to engineering teams.
Environment & Version Maintenance: Interface with server administration tools and version control systems to ensure test beds are correctly configured and tracking exact code baselines.
Defect Life Cycle Tracking: Log, trace, and manage software anomalies from initial identification through active engineering triage, re-testing, and final sign-off.
Qualifications
Experience: 5 to 10+ years of progressive professional experience operating as a Quality Assurance Analyst, Software Tester, or Systems Validator in corporate environments.
Development Methodology Literacy: Sound foundational understanding of in-house programming methodologies, languages, and structural dynamics (including familiarity with Java, C++, etc.).
Operating Systems & Platform Acuity: Strong working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft platform architectures, network concepts, and basic server administration workflows.
Configuration Management & Version Control: Practical experience interacting with traditional version control software and code repositories (such as PVCS or equivalent).
Testing Tool Mastery: Working-to-expert level knowledge of standard testing automation, execution, and test management suites (including tools like WinRunner, Mercury/QuickTest Professional, and associated Mercury modules).
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. An adaptable, highly organized self-starter who demonstrates rigorous attention to detail and is comfortable working both independently and inside collaborative team spaces.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
Holding an active ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification is highly preferred.
Functional testing experience operating within structured Agile/Scrum software delivery cycles.
Foundational experience executing Accessibility Testing (e.g., WCAG, screen readers, digital inclusivity checks).
