The Captain serves as the company's management representative aboard the vessel, tasked with supporting and protecting the best interests of the organization across all operational areas. As a non-unionized management leader, the Captain holds overriding authority and responsibility regarding vessel safety and pollution prevention. Operations must strictly align with the Canada Shipping Act and Regulations, Canada Labour Code, company policies, the ISM Code, and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Standards.

- Ensure the safety of the crew, contractors, vessel, and cargo at all times.
- Protect the marine environment by exercising overriding authority on decisions related to safety and pollution prevention.
- Protect the commercial interests of the owner during vessel operations.
- Execute duties in full compliance with the Canada Shipping Act and Regulations, Canada Labour Code, and organizational policies.
- Maintain and fulfill company requirements under the ISM Code and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a Captain on tanker vessels.
- Demonstrated experience with Safety Management Systems.
- Excellent leadership capabilities.
- Working-level proficiency in the English language.
