Our client, is seeking a skilled Conversational AI Agent Engineer (Google Agents) to join their advanced automation and engineering division.
...
In this highly technical role, you will be a core contributor responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying complex conversational flows, state machines, and integration logic for enterprise-grade Google Agents. Working closely with the Lead Agent Developer and cross-functional engineering squads, you will bridge the gap between Natural Language Understanding (NLU) platforms and backend web services. This position is ideal for an execution-focused developer with a deep curiosity for Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and conversational automation frameworks.
Duration: 8-Month Contract
Core Technology Stack: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Dialogflow CX, Python or Node.js, and Generative AI
Advantages
Bleeding-Edge Tech Portfolio: Work directly on next-generation Conversational AI solutions utilizing Dialogflow CX Generators, Playbooks, and advanced LLM orchestrations.
Enterprise Integration Scope: Gain high-value experience engineering production-grade webhook fulfillments that link virtual agents to massive backend CRMs and transactional databases.
Collaborative Innovation Environment: Partner tightly with veteran Lead Developers and Platform Architects within a structured cloud sandbox environment.
Multi-Channel Exposure: Expand your portfolio by developing, training, and optimizing NLU models deployed across both high-volume voice (IVR) and digital chat channels.
Responsibilities
Implementation & NLU Development: Build and maintain sophisticated conversational flows within Dialogflow CX, including creating intents, defining custom entities, designing state handlers, and configuring complex response fulfillment paths.
Fulfillment Integration: Develop, test, and debug secure fulfillment webhooks using Python or Node.js to integrate virtual agents with various internal/external RESTful APIs, CRMs, and database architectures.
Testing & QA Governance: Execute rigorous testing protocols—including unit testing, automated regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)—to guarantee conversational accuracy, context retention, and system reliability.
Production Support & Optimization: Assist the Lead Developer in troubleshooting real-time production bugs, monitoring Agent performance metrics, and applying iterative prompt or NLU tuning based on analytical feedback loops.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain clear, structured technical blueprints for conversational state-designs, API integration specifications, and deployment release notes. Adhere strictly to team standards for version control and cloud security practices.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 1+ years dedicated to building and deploying conversational AI systems (chatbots, advanced IVRs, or voice bots) for voice and chat platforms.
Programming Mastery: Practical, hands-on proficiency in Python or Node.js for building custom webhooks, manipulating JSON structures, and implementing serverless fulfillment backend logic.
NLU/NLP Architecture: Direct experience working with Dialogflow CX features (Generators, Playbooks, or similar NLU systems), including configuring, fine-tuning, and chaining complex state modules.
Generative AI Fluency: Solid conceptual and practical understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), structural prompt engineering, few-shot learning, and response guardrails.
Cloud Infrastructure: Functional familiarity with the basic service architecture of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical industry training).
Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
Direct hands-on development experience deploying solutions via Google Contact Center AI (CCAI).
Experience integrating virtual agents with telephony environments (ACD routing, telephony gateways).
Strong familiarity operating inside Agile/Scrum methodologies utilizing Git for version control.
Summary
If you are a tech-savvy software developer who combines the programmatic precision of backend engineering (Python/Node.js) with a passion for designing intuitive, LLM-backed user experiences in Dialogflow CX, this 8-month contract offers a premier stage for your talents. Bring your NLU expertise, webhook integration skills, and cloud curiosity to a top-tier automation squad today!
