Responsibilities
•Order, prepare, and deliver meals from various caterers to conference rooms
•Serve clients during cocktail hours or other corporate receptions
•Clear and clean conference rooms after each use, adhering to established health and safety protocols
•Clean service areas (dishwashing, linens, kitchen cleanliness)
•Respond to ad-hoc requests from clients currently in the meeting rooms
•Manage inventory of supplies for the conference center and kitchens across various floors (beverages, snacks, condiments, etc.)
•Ensure kitchen cleanliness and clean coffee makers and microwaves
•Clean kitchen refrigerators and/or reorganize their contents
•Ensure the kitchen refrigerator is stocked for the following day
•Clean all kitchen and coffee area cabinets and/or reorganize their contents
•Conduct a final inspection of all conference rooms to ensure they are clean and tidy for the following day
•Perform any other job-related tasks as required
•Assist the reception team with answering phones and recording reservations and requests, as needed
Qualifications
•High school diploma combined with relevant work experience
•Diploma from the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ), an asset
•Knowledge of customer service etiquette in the restaurant industry
•Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite
•Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
•Strong customer service mindset
•Excellent communication, organizational, collaboration, and teamwork skills
•Professionalism, autonomy, proactivity, and attention to detail
•Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
Our Client operates across Canada, and globally/internationally in the United States and other countries. This company takes all reasonable means to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires this where it is necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to fulfil these job duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (oral and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to:
-communicate with English-speaking clients/partners/employees located outside Quebec on a regular basis
-work on client projects, products or deliverables that are required to be delivered to clients in English
