Maintain accurate records of inventory, including tracking and reporting on stock levels, quality, and availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and production, to align storage and distribution processes with overall business objectives.
Lead and manage a team of storage and distribution staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
Proven experience in storage and distribution management, preferably in a recycling depot industry or transportation industry
Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles and best practices.
Experience with union is an asset
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
