As a Finance Analyst III, you will be part of the Strategic Operations team, ensuring that every dollar spent on marketing initiatives is tracked, forecasted, and optimized. Responsibilities
As the Finance Analyst III, your day-to-day will involve:
•Accurate Expense Reporting: Drive the month-end reporting process for marketing expenses, including detailed monthly outlooks and assisting planners with accruals.
•Insightful Analysis: Interpret segment expenses and prepare concise key messages to help marketing planners minimize variances to their forecasts.
•Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain sophisticated Excel models and reports that provide clarity for the budget team and marketing executives.
•System Integrity: Manage budget data within Quickbase (marketing budgeting software) and support planners in navigating the system.
•Strategic Interlocking: Coordinate frequently with Marketing Finance to ensure alignment between systems, reporting, and commentary.
•Planning Support: Contribute to annual planning and quarterly forecasting deliverables to meet strict finance deadlines.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
•Education: A University Degree or Diploma in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
•Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
•Technical Savvy: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
•Analytical Acumen: A strong understanding of financial acumen, accounting principles, and data visualization.
•Communication: Ability to relay financial information in a relatable and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders (Marketers).
Nice to Haves:
•Prior experience within the banking industry.
•Familiarity with Quickbase or similar budget management software.
•Experience editing or managing SharePoint sites.
Summary
Contract Duration: 3 Months (ASAP Start)
Extension/Conversion: Extension or conversion is unlikely at this time, based on business needs and performance.
Work Model: Hybrid (4 days on-site at 160 Front St. W, Toronto; 1 day remote).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours/day).
