Responsibilities
Precision Operation: Safely and efficiently operate propane and electric counterbalance forklifts to move inventory across loading docks, storage zones, and processing lines.
Shipping & Receiving: Load and unload incoming/outgoing freight from trailers, shipping containers, and skids using mechanical equipment or manual handling when required.
Load Securing: Ensure all pallets, boxes, and freight are perfectly balanced and secure before transit by correctly positioning lifting attachments.
Inventory Verification: Inspect loads for accuracy and deliver vital materials to production lines just-in-time to maintain facility output.
Safety Inspections: Conduct routine daily pre-operational checks on heavy machinery and counterbalance equipment, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a spotless, organized, and hazard-free workspace while adhering strictly to all occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications
Experience: 1 to 2 years of proven experience operating industrial trucks (Counterbalance forklift experience is a must).
Licensing: Valid forklift operator certification, or the ability to confidently pass an on-site practical driving assessment.
Compliance: Ability to successfully pass a standard criminal background check prior to your start date.
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent practical warehouse experience.
Logistics & Commute: Reliable transportation to the Woodstock facility to guarantee punctual arrival for the 7:00 AM shift.
Skills & Stamina: Excellent spatial awareness, depth perception, and dexterity to navigate tight aisles. Must have the physical endurance required for an active, 8-hour warehouse shift.
Mindset: A cautious, team-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a deep commitment to safety.
