Responsibilities
• Perform environmental scans and current-state evaluations of the corporate geospatial ecosystem.
• Analyze industry trends, municipal benchmarks, and vendor technologies with an emphasis on Esri tools.
• Incorporate key organizational factors including operational budgets and strategic leadership goals into planning.
• Create and publish official documentation for the 2027-2030 Corporate Geospatial Technology Strategy.
• Develop specialized strategy documents for Corporate GIS, Aerial Imagery, 3D Technology, and FME.
• Update the Geospatial Technology placemat in the Enterprise Platform Portal for the upcoming business cycle.
• Provide guidance, functional design choices, and integration touchpoints to assist executive decision-making.
Qualifications
• Bring ten years of experience within the last thirteen years as a geospatial technology architect focused on Esri products.
• Demonstrate ten years of experience managing geospatial platform rollouts across centralized and hub-and-spoke enterprise models.
• Possess five years of experience coaching and guiding personnel at an executive leadership level.
• Present prior experience building corporate geospatial strategies and technology plans within large organizations or the public sector.
• Display strong verbal and written communication skills paired with change management experience during strategy implementation.
