Responsibilities
User-Centered Interface Design: Create clean, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces and overall product functionality across digital displays, web applications, and mobile platforms.
User Research & Usability Testing: Conceive, facilitate, and execute user research, interviews, and usability testing sessions; synthesize findings into research reports, topic maps, and actionable design iterations.
UX Deliverables & Prototyping: Develop sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes tailored for responsive and mobile-first experiences.
Design System Integration: Utilize and contribute to established design systems and service design frameworks to ensure consistency across product features and platforms.
Agile Collaboration: Partner closely with balanced product teams (Product Owners, Developers, QA) using Agile (Scrum) delivery methodologies to iterate designs efficiently.
Stakeholder Facilitation: Lead meetings and present design concepts, ideas, user flows, and strategic UX decisions to key business stakeholders to build alignment and consensus.
Qualifications
UX & UI Design Seniority: 3+ years of relevant experience participating in complex software/digital product design projects utilizing user-centered design processes and Agile (Scrum) methodologies (Strictly Required).
Design Tooling Proficiency: Hands-on expertise using Figma alongside familiarity with tools such as InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, JustInMind, or Zeplin (Strictly Required).
Responsive & Mobile-First Best Practices: Deep understanding and extensive experience applying UX design best practices for mobile-first and responsive web applications (Strictly Required).
Service Design & Design Systems: Practical experience working within established design systems and service design frameworks (Strictly Required).
Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills to lead design walkthroughs and defend UX decisions before business leadership (Strictly Required).
Education & Credentials: Degree or diploma in Graphic Design; additional background or certification in Usability, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or Technical Writing is a strong plus.
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior experience with public sector digital service delivery models (e.g., Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live phases).
Basic front-end development awareness (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/React/Angular) or exposure to Azure DevOps.
