In Western Canada, Our client represents equipment and parts lines from a full range of original
equipment manufacturers including Link-Belt Cranes, LBX and GEAX to service the
construction, mining, and forestry industries.
In Central Canada, Our client is a full-line distributor for Komatsu Equipment and Link-Belt Cranes
servicing construction, infrastructure, and demolition contractors throughout Ontario.
Through its subsidiary, Selix Equipment Inc., Our client also distributes drilling and foundation
equipment, representing the Soilmec, Sandvik, and GEAX product lines. These are sold in
Central and Eastern Canada.
Advantages
Desired Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Five to ten years of progressive growth
managing IT infrastructure. Experience with family-owned businesses is desirable, but not a
requirement.
Responsibilities
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Managing LAN/WAN including ISPs, Cisco/Sophos firewalls, routers, switches and PBXs
2. Managing O365 environment including Office, Azure, Outlook, Intune, SharePoint, Defender
and ATP
3. Managing Sophos Endpoint, XDR, MDR, Firewall, Email and Phish Threat protection
4. Managing virtualized VMware environment
5. Managing PFW/CDK ERP system including daily, monthly and year-end processing
6. Managing/testing backups for Servers, O365, ERP
7. Managing Bell, Rogers, Telus, Fibernetics phones, plans and contracts
8. Deploy new hardware, including all user and office devices
9. Installing new updates, patches, and fixes across all Windows 10/11 clients and 2016-2019
servers
10. Develop ERP reports per user requirements
11. Migrate on-premise data to SharePoint
12. Explore new technologies and developments to optimize existing environment
13. Develop, update and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
14. Provide backup for IT Administrator and Director of IT
15. Provide onsite support as necessary
16. Provide level II support where/when required
17. Adhere to a continuous improvement culture within department
18. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Working knowledge in networking protocols, configurations, and security
Experience in supporting, migrating ERP systems is a big plus
Proficiency in all Microsoft products including Office, Security, Windows, Azure
Experience with Crystal reports, Power BI or similar
Experience with VMware, ESXi, vCenter, Veeam
Experience with Sophos security or similar

The IT Manager is to assist the Director of IT in the administration department at ESS. The
successful candidates mandate will include managing and administering the company hardware
and software infrastructure and related tasks as necessary.
