Responsibilities
Masterful Welding & Assembly: Execute exceptional structural fitting and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) within our cutting-edge manufacturing facility.
Technical Blueprint Reading: Carefully analyze complex structural blueprints, welding symbols, and shop layouts to ensure precise component placement and flawless fit-up.
Hands-On Fabrication: Expertly measure, align, secure, and tack-weld heavy structural pieces to prepare them for the final continuous welding phase.
Rigorous Quality & Safety Standards: Work hand-in-hand with our QA/QC inspectors to guarantee that every single project strictly adheres to all safety protocols and industry codes, specifically CWB and ABSA regulations.
Qualifications
Trade Certification: You must hold a valid and recognized Journeyperson Welder ticket to be considered for this role.
On-Site Assessments: You must possess the practical skills necessary to successfully pass our mandatory, in-house ABSA and CWB welding exams.
Preferred Assets: Applicants who come to the table with currently active, up-to-date ABSA and CWB certifications will jump to the front of the line.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of FCAW techniques, specifically in complex, multi-pass structural weld applications.
Fitting Proficiency: Exhibit strong capabilities in structural laying out, precision fitting, and the safe, efficient operation of heavy-duty shop equipment.
Logistics: You must live in or closely around the Fort Saskatchewan area and have a dependable way to commute to the shop every day.
