Responsibilities
Application Development & Coding: Translate technical specifications into working applications by writing clean Java code, developing programming specifications, and compiling data-driven software modules.
API & Microservices Integration: Design, develop, and test RESTful WebServices and APIs, applying core microservice architecture and security principles to enhance application maintainability.
Database Programming & Management: Execute database queries, write SQL scripts, and optimize data operations across Oracle or SQL relational databases.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, debug software components, perform refactoring, and execute test plans to ensure code compliance and quality standards.
Technical Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Resolve, debug, and troubleshoot operational technical issues arising during application conversions, migrations, and deployments.
SDLC Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional IT professionals, business analysts, and architects in an Agile framework to support feature design and delivery.
Qualifications
Multi-Client Web Application Experience: 2+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications (Strictly Required).
Java & Database Proficiency: 2+ years of hands-on working experience in Java development paired with Oracle or SQL databases (Strictly Required).
REST API & WebServices: 2+ years of hands-on experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and WebServices (Strictly Required).
Security Protocols & Gateways: Practical knowledge of security gateways and protocols, including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL certificates (Strictly Required).
Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding and practical experience working within Agile development methodologies (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Experience working with Azure DevOps and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of microservices architecture, object-oriented design patterns, and clean code principles.
Familiarity with public sector development standards or web accessibility principles (WCAG/AODA).
