Responsibilities
• Coordinate and optimize all transportation operations to ensure that goods are delivered to the right place, at the right time, at the best cost, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards;
• Respond to client quotation requests for various merchandise deliveries;
• Identify client needs and meet their expectations and/or suggest a solution, if necessary, using appropriate and effective communication techniques;
• Coordinate trips with partners to meet client requirements;
• Provide clients with information and advice regarding the various services offered by the logistics division;
• Verify various information with the shipper and the consignee to anticipate issues en route, such as operating hours and information provided by the payer before dispatching the trip;
• Responsiveness to emergencies and unexpected events (delays, breakdowns, weather, customs);
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously;
• Ability to close deals, resolve conflicts, and maintain long-lasting relationships;
• Assist Audit with updating partner files in the system;
• Perform all other related duties
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar position;
* Excellent understanding of LTL and TL operations;
* College diploma in transportation option, an asset;
* Comfort using various computer software (truckmate / loadlink);
* Ability to work under pressure;
* Excellent priority management;
* Interpersonal skills and tact;
* Strong interpersonal communication skills; ease in building relationships of trust with our clients and suppliers, and an excellent ability to maintain these relationships;
* Love and be motivated by the excitement and intensity of transportation logistics;
